Narrative

One late afternoon as the sun was setting April went to the meadow to fly her plane. An
oak tree covered a picnic table. Blue flowers grew around the picnic table, creating a beautiful picture. A road like a snake weaved through the green meadows.

1 2 3! The plane took off. The wind blew the plane. The mighty plane did loops and twists in the warm air.  Suddenly the plane lost control and crashed into the oak tree.  April thought about what she could do. She decided to climb up the tree. She clambered up and stood on a lose branch. CRACK! The branch broke and she fell out of the tree. She couldn’t move her leg was broken.

“Arrrrrgggghhh, HELP ME!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. A wood chopper who was working in the nearby meadow heard the scream. He ran to the lady and saw her lying on the ground with a bone sticking out of his leg.  The man called the ambulance. The ambulance came and took her to hospital. They put her leg in a cast and she spent the next six weeks on crutches.

WINTER
Winter blows its cold icy breath everywhere.
The early morning frost is crunchy and white covering the green grass.
The loud wind howls in the freezing air like a stray dog hungry for a bone.
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,
covering everything with a white sparkling blanket.
The trees become bare, brown bones standing like statues admiring the view.
Heavy rain falls from the dark grey sky, pounding against the soggy ground.
Chilly bitterness in the air, winter is here.
Here is my writing!

Autumn - Published
The Autumn wind blows like a hurricane. The clear green grass is cold like an ice block . The wind howls like a hairy dog looking for food. The bare branches crash down on the ground. The leaves change colour like a rainbow. Some go red and some go yellow. The icy cold wind blows everywhere. Autumn is finally here. Wind whirls the leaves around like a tornado. The cold icy rain pounds on the soggy ground.

volcano explsion

Here is my moment in time about our volcano explosion that we did.

Boom crash bang! The volcano erupted. The lava sliced down the volcano. It was like a river of blood. Bang! There it goes again for the 3rd time. Red hot fiery rocks fly everywhere. The smoke slowly drifts to the east. Clouds of smoke and ash spread across the sky like a hurricane. The rocks are so so hot you could cook a sausage on them. The volcano glows in the dark.

Te Ahuahu

Here is my writing about Te Ahu ahu. Our focus was to use powerful verbs and adjectives.

Te AhuAhu

Aaaaahhh! The school bus screeched to a holt on the side of the dusty metal road. We jumped out and lined up like soldiers. Mrs Whitelaw opened the gate and we stormed off. Finally we reached the track. I moaned. My legs were sore. We walked for what seemed like hours. Finally we reached the top.  Suddenly a car drove up and stopped.  A person jumped out. His name was Hone.  He talked about World War 1 and 2. After his talk we all walked down to the old gate and ate lunch. I didn’t have lots of lunch. It was time to go. We all started walking down the mountain.

WOOHOO Finally we were at the bottom. “The bus is here!” yelled Mrs Craig.
